Project Background

Millbrook academy was founded in 1967 as the first purpose-built comprehensive school in Gloucestershire.

It is a co-educational, fully comprehensive academy for 11-18 year olds with 600 students and a Sixth Form with more than 100 students.The project comprised of the demolition of an existing building and the design and construction of a new Science block containing a ‘super lab’, modern, well equipped science classrooms and dedicated vocational teaching rooms along with state of the art equipment.

Vitruvius had a thorough approach to all aspects of the project. It was a concern having a large construction project adjacent to a working school, no problems arose and any concerns were swiftly and efficiently dealt with

Employers Agents and Quantity Surveyor for this project, playing a pivotal role in the management and organisation of this project.

Vitruvius was appointed as Employers Agents as well as the Quantity Surveyor for this project and played a pivotal role in the management and organisation of project meetings, playing an essential part in the smooth running and successful hand over of this construction project.
