The Project Details:

The planning proposals represent a well-considered solution that will not negatively nor adversely impact the immediate site context, nor the wider community, but to improve the general amenity of the existing site.
The building requirements involve various complexities, including constraints of the original factory footprint, and addressing level changes and logistical construction phasing of a live operational site.

The works include a wraparound extension incorporating a link building to join two factories of varying floor levels and a mezzanine. Phased planning will be critical to ensure an operational factory during construction, limiting plant and equipment moves. Access routes, storage, noise, ventilation, and the residential neighbourhood were all crucial throughout the design considerations.
