Skills Minister Jacqui Smith MP and Professor Andy Collop, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of Hartpury University officially opened the state-of-the-art facility, during a special event attended by local stakeholders, industry partners, students and members of the Hartpury community.
The Vitruvius Management Services is proud to celebrate the official opening of Hartpury University’s new University Learning Hub, a landmark development that will enhance the student experience for generations to come.
Spanning more than 3,100 square metres, the Learning Hub brings together teaching spaces, library facilities, wellbeing services, employability support and collaborative learning areas within a modern, inclusive environment designed to support student success.
Vitruvius Management Services was delighted to act as Construction Manager for the project, helping to drive delivery and successfully bring the development across the finish line. We were honoured to be recognised during the opening event for our role in delivering this important facility.
The opening marks another significant milestone for Hartpury University, which was recently named Specialist University of the Year 2026 in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. The new Learning Hub reflects the university’s continued commitment to providing exceptional learning environments and industry-focused education.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this outstanding project to life. We are proud to have played a part in creating a facility that will support learning, wellbeing and future career success for students across Gloucestershire for many years to come.
“This building represents a major investment in our students, their futures, and the future of higher education here at Hartpury and across Gloucestershire.”
“More than simply a building, it is a space designed around how students learn and live today. It provides opportunities for independent study, collaborative working, academic support, careers guidance, wellbeing services and social connection, all within a vibrant university community that is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Professor Andy Collop, Vice-Chancellor and CEO, Hartpury University
“I know that Hartpury University has strong employability and careers services, and an excellent record of helping young people into work through its close links with employers.”
“What universities do isn’t only confined to the walls of an institution. It’s about creating opportunities for local people, working with communities and building partnerships with employers. That’s something I can see here at Hartpury.”
